Overview

Studio 5000 Logix Designer is the one application to configure, program and maintain the entire Allen-Bradley® Logix 5000 family of controller’s products and related devices. Its intuitive programming environment allows users to work collaboratively to design and maintain their systems.

Studio 5000 Logix Designer is your single programming software for all disciplines – safety motion, drives, process and discrete that enables you to:

  • Easily configure devices with graphical wizards and automatically create tags
  • Simplified programming with multiple languages and modularity features
  • View the system and find what you need easily with the Logical Organizer and Controller Organizer views – helping maintain uptime
  • Create code simultaneously with others, and then compare and merge changes
  • Protect the design and execution of your Logix content with license-based content protection capabilities to ensure that only authorized users are able to view, modify or execute protected code

To use the Logix Designer application effectively, your personal computer must meet the following hardware and software requirements.

Important: While the Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems run on many touch-enabled devices, various features of the Logix Designer application may not be touch-enabled. Most functions are expected to work with touch, but the software has only been tested with a keyboard and mouse.

This version of Logix Designer is expected to operate correctly on all other editions and service packs of the following operating systems but has not been tested:
